What's
the difference between Bridged Ethernet and PPP?
PPP and Bridged Ethernet are both protocols or agreed upon
method of communication between points or networks.
PPP or point-to-point protocol, is used to create a virtual circuit between two
computers or routers and information is routed between the two
computers or networks.
Bridging is used to connect two networks together to act
as if they are both on the same local network.
PacInfo subscribers can use either ppp or bridged
ethernet, with ppp as the preferred protocol since it
is more efficient. PPP also allows you to use more security
features in the router.
